Brechin and Montrose with Inverbervie - Full-time Rector

Between the Glens and the sea, could YOU be called to work as RECTOR of a new linked charge with strong, self-reliant congregations in beautiful rural Angus?

We are looking for a full-time Rector for two town congregations and one smaller dependent charge. Someone to be our spiritual leader who can also be a forward thinking, flexible guide: a person with an open-minded, positive and compassionate outlook who is expecting a challenge and feels positive about this . . . and who has a sense of humour.

We are seeking a new Incumbent who is prepared to work with us on an ambitious programme of mission, spiritual development, growth and community involvement to further grow our Christian witness in Brechin, Montrose, Inverbervie and the surrounding areas. We stress with us, because we recognise there are implications for all of us - we don’t expect our new Rector to take on all these aspirations single-handedly!

Your enthusiastic support team will include two Lay Readers, a wider lay team and hard-working and effective Vestries.

Full details and a profile can be downloaded from the Brechin Diocese website at: or for an informal chat please call Bishop Andrew Swift on 01382 459 569 or email
