A Priest for Carnoustie and Monifieth
Do you have a vision for helping local church communities through transition? Are you called to mission and ministry in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland? If so, we invite you to consider joining us on our journey.
Two neighbouring church communities in the county of Angus on the north-east coast of Scotland are coming together to seek a shared priest. This priest will confidently lead us through this time of transition and in our distinct pastoral and sacramental lives in our separate communities. Our priorities in this shared ministry are prayer, liturgy, preaching & teaching the gospel, growing mission & outreach and developing a relevant and accessible church.
Fully supported by the diocese, the right priest will support and encourage our church communities, with the existing lay ministry teams, in our worship and pastoral life. Modern housing located in Carnoustie.
Informal conversation: contact Bishop Andrew Swift via Elliott Scarfe, the bishop’s PA firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date for applications: 8th December
Interviews/visits TBC (depending on Covid-19 restrictions)
