The stunning space image is of the constellation Pleiades, ‘The Seven Sisters’. Associated with the lengthening winter night sky at this time of year, Pleiades arises in the eastern sky as the sun sets. In Celtic culture associated with remembering and mourning, the image of the stars also evokes Christ the King of the Universe and the Church’s Kingdom season observed in November between All Saints-tide and Advent Sunday.
