The 5th Glencarse Games is to be held on Sunday, 25 August, 12pm - 5pm at Inchyra House, Glencarse (by kind permission of Lord and Lady Inchyra.) The Games, which are held biennially, are run entirely by the congregation of All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Glencarse. There are a multitude of sideshows and ring events, including kids’ and adult races, dog competitions, and the unique Hurling the Hassock competition (pictured below.) The Glencarse Games is a huge community event for the whole of the Carse of Gowrie, and the organisers would give a warm welcome to other families from within the Diocese of Brechin. This year, proceeds will be in aid of All Saints’ Church Heating Fund and Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukaemia (TCCL).
