Bishop Forbes Evensong
Description
Bishop Alexander Penrose Forbes was a formidable Victorian Bishop of Brechin who built many churches and schools in Dundee and beyond, working to improve people’s lives. He is remembered on 12 October with a special Choral Evensong at 6.30pm in St Paul’s Cathedral Dundee featuring its renowned Choir. The guest preacher is Janet McKinnell, Warden of Readers in Edinburgh Diocese and the service includes a diocesan farewell for Canon Dr John Cuthbert, Rector of Arbroath and Auchmithie who leaves the diocese in November. Refreshments follow the service. All are welcome to join in the occasion.
